The 2008 Heart of Texas Mission Center Conference was held last Saturday at the Mineral Wells Congregation.  The conference provided an excellent opportunity for fellowship and worship with ministry provided by the Mission Center leadership as well as Apostle Rick Maupin and Assistant to the Apostle Mark Euritt. 

The Conference took the following action:

• Approved the 2007 Audit Report
• Approved the 2009 Mission Center Budget
• Sustained the Mission Center Presidency (Terry Shelton with Diane McAlister and Joe Postnikoff as Counselors)
• Sustained the Mission Center Financial Officers (Ron Saur with Sharon Miller and Steve Newby as Counselors)
• Sustained the Mission Center Council (Consisting of the Leadership Team plus and Congregation Pastors)
• Elected Members to the Sionito Board (Nick Sanders and Vicki Vogel to 3 year terms starting 9/1/09)
• Recognized Mark Euritt for his years of service to the Mission Center

The reconstituted Mission Center Presidency was set apart as was Sharon Miller as a Counselor to the Mission Center Financial Officer.

The 2009 Program of Ministry includes a Congregational Grant Program which provides for $5,000 to be returned to Congregations to help fund selected projects.  More information about the Congregational Grant Program is attached.  All congregations are encouraged to submit applications by the February 1, 2009 submission deadline.

Andy Shelton, the new Congregational Support Minister, addressed the Conference on services he can provide Congregations in enhancing their Inviting & Witnessing, Gathering and Sending & Serving Ministries.

The next scheduled Mission Center gathering is a Celebration Service set for April 25, 2008.
